rclone mongo backup — last updated 27 August 2026
Summary
This application is a private, single-user backup tool. It is operated by one person for their own data. It collects no information from anyone else, has no users other than its operator, and shares nothing with third parties.
What data the app touches
- Backup archives it creates. The app uploads compressed database backup files from a private server into the operator's own Google Drive account.
-
Nothing else in Drive. The app requests only the
drive.filepermission, which grants access solely to files the app itself creates. It cannot see, read or modify any other file in the Drive account.
What the app does not do
- It does not collect personal information from visitors to this site.
- It does not use cookies, analytics or tracking of any kind.
- It does not transmit data to any third party.
- It does not sell, share or publish any data.
- It has no accounts, logins or user-submitted content.
Storage and retention
Backup archives are stored in the operator's own Google Drive and on the operator's own server. The app deletes its own archives automatically once they exceed a set retention age. No copies are kept anywhere else.
Access and revocation
Because the only account involved is the operator's own, access can be withdrawn at any time from the Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately stops all further access.
